Rent or Own is an offline rent-versus-buy calculator. We designed it to be private by default.
Nothing. The app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising trackers.
Every scenario you create and save is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This information never leaves your phone, is never sent to us or any third party, and is deleted if you uninstall the app.
All financial calculations run entirely on your device. We do not send your inputs (rent, home price, income, or any other figure) to any server.
The app may download fonts from Google's font service the first time it runs so it displays correctly. These requests contain no personal information about you. The app does not require an account or internet connection to perform its calculations.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
